British Academy Of Restorative Dentistry | BARD

The course will comprise of lectures, practicals, seminars and webinars. This is a two year course over 20 days leading to a postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry (PG Dip Rest Dent) from the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry.

Year 1 (module 1) of this course is the Certificate in Operative Dentistry (10 days)

Year 2 of this course is the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry

Exemption from the Year 1 Certificate course and Year 2 Diploma course and entrance to the examination is available for those who have completed both a one year accredited private or hospital based Operative Dentistry course and Restorative Dentistry course and who have accumulated a minimum of 100 hours of CPD in Operative and Restorative Dentistry during the 5 year period prior to taking the exam for the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry.

Preparation Techniques
Crowns / Veneers
Full/Partial Dentures
Gold Restorations
Bridge Design and Preparation

The course is part theory, part practical and on patients and phantom heads.

Succesful completion of the course will allow entrance to the examination for Diploma in Restorative Dentistry. This will include case presentation of log diaries and MCQ short essay examination.

The cost of the course £6,950 + VAT and the exam fee is £1,485 + VAT
