The course will comprise of lectures, practicals, seminars and webinars. This is a two year course spread over 25 days leading to a postgraduate Diploma in Implant/Prosthodontics Dentistry (P.G. Dip Imp/Pros Dent) from the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry.

Year 1 (module 1) of this course is the Certificate of Restorative Dentistry (10 days)

BOTH courses (modules) must be completed in a 5 year period and you must complete 100 hours of Implant and Prosthodontic CPD including these modules during the 5 year period prior to taking the examination. Exemption from the Year 1 course (PG Cert Aesthetic Dent) is available to those who have completed a one year accredited private or hospital based Aesthetic Dentistry course.

Implant placement techniques & impression taking
Single tooth implants
Immediate implants/immediate loading
Full arch bridgework / ALL-ON-4 & angled implant placement
CT Scans, imaging and treatment planning
Same Day Teeth – better patient acceptance
Sinus lifts, bone grafts and augmentation / pink porcelain or bone grafts
Overdentures – ball/ sockets/ bars
Periodontal considerations
Screw/cement retained restorations
Implants occlusion, facebows and articulators
Aesthetic in implantology
Marketing your own practice

Delegates will be required to write essays and portfolio of their work to allow entrance to the exzmination for the Diploma in Implant Prosthodontics.
